Dear friends of Historic Green,
I hope you had a great summer! As we move into a gorgeous fall, the time to begin planning
New Orleans Spring Greening 2011 is already upon us. I am writing today to ask for your help.
Historic Green needs committed leaders to step up, roll up your sleeves, and take up the
challenge to make Spring Greening 2011 the best one yet. Over the next few weeks, we will
be asking six dedicated volunteers to step into highly responsible and really rewarding roles
as Spring Greening Committee Managers. These six folks will lead teams charged with the
hard work that goes into making Spring Greening happen each year.
We know these roles will ask a lot of the volunteers who take them on, but they are sure to be
rewarding. Spring Greening Managers will have all the support they need from the Spring
Greening Director, Historic Green board, and all of the other hardworking volunteers and
partners that make Spring Greening so amazing each year. Spring Greening Managers will
also be eligible to receive a partial travel stipend if they need it.
If you are interested in taking a leadership role in this year's Spring Greening, please follow

full descriptions of the Manager positions available and the function of the teams they will
lead. To apply to be a 2011 Spring Greening Manager, please complete the application posted
at the link, and follow the instructions on the first page to submit it. We will stop accepting
applications at September 22 2010, 5PM EST. We expect a lot of interest, so please submit your
application as soon as you can. Because we expect quite a few applicants, we may only be
able to reply to the candidates we think are the best fit for the positions currently posted. If
we don't contact you about a manager position, don't worry; there are going to be lots of
ways to get involved with Spring Greening this year, and we will keep you all posted on
opportunities as they arise. If you have any questions, please contact Brennan Crawford, 2011
Spring Greening Director, at volunteer@historicgreen.org.
Thanks!
BC
